A Stormy Night
by Byron KH Siemsen
I heard the sky dischordant thunder
Pealing to the West
And lightning caught my wonder
In fear the sky was dressed.
Turned I to hear the faintest
song
Above this rising storm
So soft of you and yet as strong
As peace by fire warm.
Now my heart ne'er wavers on
another rainy night
When raindrops pound and thunder
sounds
A thousand clouds to flight
For in such a fear swept moment
when most forget to pray
I hear your song more clearly
and it my heart does stay.
